On the official launch day of the iPhone 17 Pro Max, Apple CEO Tim Cook released the first photos taken with the device. He shared the images on social media on Friday.

The photos were captured by three internationally acclaimed photographers— Inez & Vinoodh, Mickalene Thomas, and Tran Tsu. Tim Cook described the shots as a remarkable showcase of the “Shot on iPhone” campaign.

One image shows two people running hand in hand along a city sidewalk, with a red cloth trailing behind them. In the background, illuminated by the sunset, stand a gas station and buildings. Another black-and-white frame captures three dancers striking the same pose, set against dense trees and a clear sky.

In yet another photo, four skateboarders are seen— two descending a ramp, one standing at its edge, and another walking away holding his board.
